• Business Property Damage

  Business Property Damage

  This policy can insure your business property, including buildings, vehicles and stock, against physical loss and damage directly caused by a number of different events. These events include accident, fire, lightning, earthquake, escape of liquid, damage directly caused by a burglar or thief and vandalism. The following benefits are in addition to the sum insured when you select the Business Property Damage policy:

  • Up to $100,000 for loss or damage caused by accident or the amount shown on your certificate of insurance
  • Up to $5,000 for employees’ tools, equipment and personal effects
  • Up to $10,000 for demolition, clearing debris and temporary repairs
  • Up to $10,000 for architect, surveyor and legal fees
  • Up to $10,000 for costs incurred for extinguishing a fire and replenishing fire fighting equipment
  • Up to $10,000 for restoration of your business records and books of account
  • Up to $25,000 for costs incurred in investigating the cause of damage due to the escape of liquid from a fixed system
  • Up to $5,000 for loss of rent
  • Up to $10,000 for physical loss of or damage to landscaping directly due to specified events
  • 30% automatic increase in your sum insured for stock over the Christmas and Easter periods, plus the flexibility to increase this % or period of cover.

  Included in the sums insured under this policy are additional benefits, such as compensation for reduced floor space, extra costs incurred to comply with requirements of public authorities during rebuilding, and loss or damage to insured property and stock that has been temporarily removed from the business premises. You can also choose to insure book debts, loss or damage to customers' property, mortgage protection for a unit, and cover for tax audit costs.

• Business Interruption

  Business Interruption

  This policy insures you against loss of gross profit due to a reduction in turnover as a consequence of interruption to your business. The Business Interruption policy can also insure against damage to property stored at a commercial storage site, prevention of access to your business premises and damage to your suppliers' or customers' premises in Australia.

• General Property

  General Property

  For those items of equipment that are not always located at your business premises, WFI Commercial Plan offers a General Property policy. This policy provides insurance for accidental loss of, accidental damage to and theft of nominated items, such as general property or stock, occurring worldwide.

• Business Legal Liability

  Business Legal Liability

  This policy insures you against your legal liability to pay compensation for personal injury or damage to property in connection with your business. If we agree to indemnify you for a claim made against you, we also pay the reasonable legal costs you incur to defend or settle the claim, so long as you seek our prior approval. We also pay up to $250,000 for goods in your care custody and control or the amount shown on your certificate of insurance. This policy also extends to cover overseas business visits by directors / employees.

• Machinery Breakdown

  Machinery Breakdown

  This policy within WFI Commercial Plan insures you for the breakdown of machines and the explosion or collapse of boilers, economisers or pressure vessels that you choose to insure. This can include electronic scales, cash registers and microwave ovens. You can also choose to insure for deterioration of stock and customers' goods in a cold storage compartment. 30% automatic increase in your sum insured for stock over the Christmas and Easter periods, plus the flexibility to increase this % or period of cover.

• Electronic Equipment

  Electronic Equipment

  You can choose three different types of insurance under this policy:

  Accidental damage to or theft of electronic equipment

  In the event of accidental damage to, or theft of, electronic equipment you choose to insure, we will pay the lesser of the reasonable cost of repairs, what it would cost to buy a new item of a similar make or model or the sum insured.

  Increased costs of working

  This section of the policy insures you against increased costs of working as a direct consequence of an interruption to the normal operation of a computer you choose to insure where this is directly caused by accidental damage or theft.

  Loss or damage to electronic data processing media and information

  We can also insure you against physical loss of or physical damage to electronic data processing media and information installed on a computer that you choose to insure.

• Glass Breakage

  Glass Breakage

  With this policy you can select from three different types of insurance cover:

  • Fixed glass forming part of a building
  • Fixed glass forming part of contents
  • Fixed glass forming part of both building and contents

  This policy can insure items such as glass in windows and furniture, as well as toilet bowls, cisterns, sinks, wash basins and fixed bath tubs. We will repair or replace the broken glass to its original condition or pay you the reasonable cost to do so. Plus, this policy offers up to $5,000 or the amount shown on your certificate of insurance each for Damaged signs and the following if caused by breakage: temporary shuttering, replacement of stock, the repair and replacement of signwriting or window frames and the removal and replacement of fixtures and fittings.

• Employee Theft

  Employee Theft

  This policy insures you against theft by an employee of cash, negotiable instruments or goods belonging to the business. As an additional benefit, if you satisfy us that you have a claim, we pay up to $5,000 towards the reasonable costs charged by your accountant to prepare the claim.

• Burglary and Theft

  Burglary and Theft

  This policy provides you with insurance against the physical loss of or physical damage to stock and other property shown on the Certificate of Insurance directly caused by either burglary or theft. In addition to the sum insured, we pay up to $5,000 for the temporary boarding up or safeguarding of your property, the cost of repairing damage to your premises directly caused by the burglary and the replacement of keys and locks. There is also a 30% automatic increase in your sum insured for stock over the Christmas and Easter periods, plus the flexibility to increase this % or period of cover.

• Money

  Money

  With WFI Money policy, you can choose to insure against the loss or destruction of money, including whilst on the premises (during business hours and or outside business hours), contained in a securly locked safe, in transit and at your home. You can also insure for the loss of or damage to a safe or strongroom at the business premises. There is also a 30% automatic increase in your sum insured for stock over the Christmas and Easter periods, 50% for public or bank holidays plus the flexibility to increase this % or period of cover.

• Motor Vehicle

  Motor Vehicle

  WFI has the flexibility to cover all your motor vehicle insurance needs under the one plan, from a private car, ute or van right up to a prime mover or fork lift. These can be individually insured or combined under a motor fleet policy.

• Personal Legal Liability

  Personal Legal Liability

  This policy insures you and members of your family against legal liability to pay compensation for personal injury or damage to property. If we agree to indemnify you for a claim made against you, we will also pay pre-approved legal costs you incur to defend or settle the claim. If you take out either the WFI Classic Home or WFI Standard Home policy you will automatically receive this cover.

  Domestic Workers (WA Only)

  WFI holds a Workers' Compensation insurance licence in Western Australia. WFI Commercial Plan clients in WA can therefore select a Domestic Workers policy, which insures you against your legal liability to pay workers' compensation benefits and common law damages for negligence for an injury that occurs to a domestic worker during the period of insurance.

  Personal Accident and Illness

  WFI can provide insurance for Personal Accident and Illness or Personal Accident only. Cover can be arrange for 24 hours or leisure hours only. There is a choice of indemnity periods, either 52 or 104 weeks, plus with flexible waiting periods.
